Moore Council PTA hosts Pat Henry and Reflections Awards Event
Moore Public Schools celebrated Founder's Day with the Moore Council PTA during their annual 2025 Reflections Art Awards and the Pat Henry Awards held at Central Junior High last week. Central Elementary's Stephanie Bowman was named the 2024-25 Pat Henry Award winner.
According to the National PTA website, "Founders’ Day, Feb. 17, is when we celebrate the legacy and work of our founders, Alice McLellan Birney, Phoebe Apperson Hearst, and Selena Sloan Butler, to better the lives of every child in education, health, and safety."
"It is a time to reflect and take pride in our achievements, and renew our commitment to be a powerful voice for all children, relevant resource for parents, and strong advocate for public education."
The Pat Henry Award recognizes a school staff member, an administrator, or a school board member whose collaborative efforts with a local PTA/PTSA/SEPTA unit enhance the National PTA Standards for Parent and Family Involvement Programs.
